| The
Bombay Duck |
This
once floundering pub has been completely refurbished
in an elaborate Indian style - complete with onion
topped tower. It has been renamed and is a run-away
success. People travel many miles to sample its
exotic culinary delights. (Height: 10cm) |
| The Cheshire Cheese |
Previously,
a rather shabby looking building, until a retired
thatcher purchased our building. He utilised his
skills, to crown the pub with a thatched roof. What
a transformation! Its top selling lunch? Cheese
ploughman's, of course! (Height: 10cm) |
| The Harvest Moon |
This
pub certainly lives up to its name! Its main attraction
is the camera obscura built into its conical roof.
At the time of the harvest moon, light to passes
through a small hole in the roof's finial - whereby
an inverted image of the moon is projected onto
the middle of the floor. (Height: 10cm) |
| The Hot Pot |
What at first
resembles a medieval castle, is actually a Victorian
folly. Why was it named The Hot Pot? For hundreds
of years, the hill on which it stands has been known
locally as Hot Pot Hill. There are no prizes for
guessing what their speciality dish is! (Height:

| The Smoked Salmon |
The charm of its
rickety appearance has made it a talking point among
visitors. It may be small, but it serves some of
the finest seafood in the country. It's destined
to continue to brave the constant battle against
the elements for many years to come. (Height: 10cm)

| The Wheatsheaf |
Although its huge
sails have long been removed, this converted windmill
has retained a lot of its original charm and character
- and ghosts! Whether the local stories be true
or not, The Wheatsheaf is a great place to spend
an evening, even if the only spirits you'll see
are the ones behind the bar! (Height: 9.5cm) |
