Special Event Pieces
There are two special event pieces which will only be
available at events during 2002: "Mad Hatter's" (21.0cm high)
and "Limestone Brook" (13cm high). Both pieces will be retired
on 31st December 2002,
Mad Hatter's
Welcome to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. The owner of this
remarkably bizarre house is obsessed with Lewis Carroll's famous
character - The Mad Hatter. But, 'curioser and curioser': so
obsessed is he, that his house actually resembles the Mad Hatter's
top hat. It's built from stone jigsaw pieces, complete with
topiary hair cascading from it's rim!
Limestone Brook
Along a tree lined country trail, beside a sparkling brook,
sits this picturesque little cottage. The stepping stones beside
the cottage are used by many walkers and ramblers each year.

The
fourth and final piece in this collection has now been released.
Called "The Kings Fissure" (pictured right) it is priced at
£110.00 and will only be available until the end of June
2002.
At the fissure natural heat from deep within the Earth's
core is tapped for use in the casting of silver and gold. And
not without risk! At any time, magma could spurt forth, incinerating
all in its path. The workers here are all condemned thieves,
traitors and rogues of the worst type; forced to serve their
sentence, in this most dangerous of places.
There are four cottages in this collection and each piece
contains two symbols hidden somewhere on them. Once all eight
have been found and the clues solved a single word will be spelt
out. If you work out what this word is then you will have cracked
the code and eligible to be entered in a special draw where
you could win one of ten Year 2000 Gold Bullion Full Sovereigns
issued by the Royal Mint.
Like the first three
pieces in this special collection: "The Assayers Tower", "Carot
Croft" and "Treasure Cove" this piece is sure to be very popular.

The Christmas Pieces
Also don't forget that
two further pieces have been added to their respective Christmas
collections. "Fagin's Hideout" is the 2002 Christmas Piece and
will also be the final of the six in the Oliver Twist theme
and is priced £85.00. The second Chrismas piece for 2002
is the Chrismas Ornaments "Yuletide Cottage" and is priced £14.00.
Both are only available until the end of December 2002.
Fagin's Hideout
It
is here, in this dingiest of places, that Fagin trains his young
apprentices, and now the innocent Oliver, in the art of picking
pockets. It is here too that his boys return with their daily
ill--gotten 'loot', and where Fagin hides much of this loot
in the provision of his pension fund! A most suitable hideout
indeed!
Yuletide Cottage
Known locally as The
Yule Log, this dwelling is the most unusual building in the
land. Once the largest oak tree in the forest, it is now home
to the much revered village elder, who decided to honour the
spirit of this fallen tree by living within its mighty trunk. |
