Perhaps, if you are a member of the David Winter Cottages Collectors Guild, you noticed the cryptic messages on the last few mailings you have received from them.

The first ambiguous mention was on the postcard announcing the December 2000 retirements, in it they incorporated the following 'teaser' from David... 'I recently discovered a fascinating story when I was going through an old chest I'd found', There was also two little illustrations, a mouse and a rose. Then in the April mailing of 2001 Issue 2 of the Cottage Country, there was another unmistakable card inviting you to attend the International Collectibles Exposition at Rosement in the USA, on the reverse of this card it simply said: 'Rose is calling you'.

What's it all about? Well this is David's way of keeping us all on our toes and watching our mail boxes for the announcement of the launch of this fantastic new collection.

Since David first mentioned his 'find' in his attic and his desire to create a new collection that would illustrate the story behind this find, the Enesco team was immediately 'hooked' on the idea and began to endlessly discuss how to introduce this magical story-linked collection. In these early discussions, David and the team recalled the numerous conversations and suggestions from collectors saying that they craved intrigue and suspense. It was soon decided that they would take their time, adding to the mystery and intrigue of the story and linking it into major mailings during the end of last year and the beginning of this year.

The collection comprises of the following six pieces. (Please also see below for their pictures). On each, there's a hidden golden secret for you to find.
