The Christmas Pieces
Two
further pieces have been added to their respective Christmas collections. "Mr
Brownlow's" (pictured) is the 2001 Christmas Piece and "The Garden Chapel"
joins the Chrismas Ornaments. "Mr Brownlow's" is priced at £73.00 while
"The Garden Chapel" is £14.00. Both are only available until December
2001. Mr Brownlow's
Oliver, born in the workhouse as his povery-striken mother
expires, is 'sold' by the odious Mr. Bumble to the undertaker, Mr. Sowerberry,
before 'graduating' to Fagin's den of thieves. It is the kindly Mr. Brownlow
who eventually sets Oliver free. The Garden
Chapel
It's a white Christmas! Snow lies 'deep and crisp
and even' around the manor house. The family, and servants, struggle through
the still falling snow to the little chapel in the grounds for morning service.

Limited Edition Piece
A limited edition piece called "Jo Ann's Fancy" has been added to The
Main Collection. This model was named after David Winter Cottages Collection
Guild member, Jo Ann Murdoch as her prize in a Guild competition.
Jo Ann's
Fancy is the kind of place many David Winter collectors dream of living in, for
it has everything you could wish for in a cottage: snug thatched roof, ancient
timber beams and a quaint bridge leading to it.
Indeed, Jo
Ann herself has dreams! One was to have a cottage named after her, such as this
one. Another is that David Winter himself should one day turn up unannounced on
her doorstep for a surprise visit!
It is
priced at £73.00 and only 1,250 will be made. |

Crack the Code Collection
The
second piece in this collection has now been released. Called "Carat Croft"
(pictured right). Priced at £70.00 it will only be available until June
2001.
There will be four cottages released in this collection altogether and
each piece contains two symbols hidden somewhere on them. Once all eight have
been found and the clues solved a single word will be spelt out. If you work
out what this word is then you will have cracked the code and eligible to be
entered in a special draw where you could win one of ten Year 2000 Gold Bullion
Full Sovereigns issued by the Royal Mint.
